This dataset supports the numerical modeling of charring ablation of phenolic-based ablative materials using finite element analysis (FEA) in ABAQUS. It contains an ABAQUS input file and supporting thermochemical datasets required to reproduce the numerical configuration used in the associated publication.
The numerical framework implements a one-dimensional charring ablation material response model accounting for material decomposition, pyrolysis gas effects, and progressive surface recession. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) data used for kinetic parameter identification were obtained from previously published literature; no original experimental data are included.
The UMATHT user subroutine implementing the core material response model is not publicly published in order to protect the authors’ intellectual property. The governing equations, assumptions, and numerical implementation details of the UMATHT formulation are fully described in the associated journal publication. The files provided here ensure transparency of the numerical setup and facilitate reproducibility of the reported results.
