资源简介:
Climate change and sustainability are the looming challenges for food production. The world’s food sources are satisfied by grain crops that are very vulnerable to climate change. The root and tuber carbohydrate sources are considered to be resilient and adaptable. Taro, a great potency for food source with high nutrients value. The study was undertaken to evaluation of organic manure (OM) to the morphological characters of taro, and the relations of morphological characters and corm seedlings as influenced by OM, also to determine the proper dose in Indonesia. The research was carried out in a randomized complete design with OM treatment, and five replications. OM consist of 4 levels, i.e. 0.25 kg plant-1, 0.5 kg plant-1, 0.75 kg plant-1, and 1 kg plant-1. MO increased the vegetative growth, corm attributes and seedling production. OM improved the quantitative vegetative growth. The dose about 0.5 - 1 kg hole-1 were identified as the proper doses to vegetative growth, corm attributes and seedling production of taro. There were positively correlation among vegetative growth, corm attributes and seedling production. Vegetative growth namely plant height, leaf dimension, and stem diameter very important to determine the corm development, and further leads the high production of seedlings.
