Cancer Cell Line Encyclopedia (CCLE) is a large-scale cancer cell line database dedicated to the detailed genetic and pharmacological characterization of human cancer cell models. This database contains genomic, transcriptomic and drug sensitivity data for approximately 1,000 cancer cell lines, which is utilized for research into cancer biology, validation of cancer targets and definition of drug efficacy. The CCLE project is divided into three phases, continuously expanding and refining the characterization of cancer cell lines, including multi-dimensional data such as genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics.
