Who will choose Norgespris?

The purpose of the survey is to examine consumers' attitudes toward "Norgespris," a subsidy program from the Norwegian government aimed at stabilizing electricity prices, and how these attitudes may vary depending on the electricity region in which the consumer resides. The study reveals that a significant portion of the population is uncertain about whether Norgespris will be financially beneficial for them and whether they will choose to use it. Consumers in the Western electricity region, closely followed by those in the Eastern region, are the most uncertain. Additionally, women are more uncertain than men, both across the population as a whole and within each electricity region. There are notable differences between electricity regions regarding consumers' choices. Most consumers in the Southern and Eastern regions state that they are likely to choose Norgespris, while the Northern region reports the lowest proportion of consumers intending to opt for the program. Eastern region consumers have been the most active in switching electricity providers over the past two years.

Margins of error: From +/- 0.9 with 2,500 interviews to +/- 1.9 with 500 interviews. The margins of error for figures in subgroups are larger.
