This study aimed the determination of the microbial community from a sequencing batch reactor. The reactor treated cheese whey as substrate. Experimental design included three succesive solid retention times and microbial composition was evaluated at every of these three conditions. The design allowed us to identify main microbial populations as well as to understand their dynamics
