Assessment of Hygiene and Environmental Health Services in Bishoftu Town: A Baseline Survey

The Assessment of Hygiene and Environmental Health Services in Bishoftu Town baseline survey was conducted to determine the level of drinking-water quality, sanitation and hygiene (WaSH) in households, healthcare facilities, schools, industries, and food establishments of Bishoftu city. A representative sample size was determined by considering households, Institutions and drinking water sources in Bishoftu town. A total of 6,801 representative sample was included in the survey (5350 households’ sample, 355 different institutions and 1096 water source of drinking). The samples were distributed to the selected kebeles of Bishoftu town proportionally. To select food and drinking establishment systematic random sampling was employed.
