This repository contains the scripts and input data files for the LaMEM to produce data for the surrogate model constructions described in the paper “Challenges of Quantifying Geodynamic Effects – Insights from the Alpine Region “  Contents: make_model.sh: Bash shell script to produce the LaMEM input files from the surrogate sampling files. run_models.sh: Bash shell script to submit jobs. time_step_to_save_find.sh : Bash shell script to list the model names and specified time step. It produces a file use_time_Step with model names in first column followed by time-step directory. save_time_step.py: Python script for paraveiw to load model wise time-step from the last script and save the surface and 3D model output to csv files. solver_type_1.dat: Sample LaMEM input file where multigrid options are not changed. solver_type_2.dat: Sample LaMEM input file where multigrid options are changed model-wise, in case there were convergence issues. density_only_models.zip : Compressed file containing model-wise LaMEM input file for the scenario where only the density of the layers is changed fixed_density_models.zip : Compressed file containing model-wise LaMEM input file for the scenario where only the viscosity of the layers is changed vary_viscosity_density_models : Compressed file containing model-wise LaMEM input file for the scenario where both the density and viscosity of the layers are changed.
