Data from "Evaluating the robustness of experimental thermal performance assessments in the marine diatom Cylindrotheca closterium". Growth-experiment data for eight strains of Cylindrotheca closterium under a temperature gradient, and the phylogenetic markers used to infer their phylogeny. We assessed how acclimation duration, the temperature range over which growth is measured, and the choice of model affect the estimation of thermal-performance parameters in these eight strains of the marine diatom species complex C. closterium. We further compared our results with previously published data for the same species complex.
