Kruger National Park exclosure vegetation survey 2007

The placement of large herbivore exclosures in the KNP is a fundamental research activity that provides solid evidence on which our whole managment plan rests. A critical component of the current research iinitiative in the KNP concerns the effects of herbivore(especially elephants) and fire on the vegetation and biodiversity of the park, with the ultimate objective of devising scientific based managemnt plans.
