Datasets for the study "Ice-ocean forcing in the short-term slowdown of Pine Island Ice Shelf"

The MATLAB codes and related datasets are used for generating the figures for the paper "Ice-ocean forcing in the short-term slowdown of Pine Island Ice Shelf". Files and variables File 1 : Main_function Description: Include MATLAB scripts and functions. Each script include discriptions that guide the user how to used it and how to find the dataset that used for processing. MATLAB Main Scripts: Include the whole steps to process the data, output figures, and output videos. Script_1_Ice_velocity_process_flow.m Script_2_Extraction_results.m Script_3_Read_ICESat2_h5_files.m Script_3_Read_ICESat2_h5_files_Piglet_Glacier.m Script_4_SMOS_Sea_Ice_Thickness.m Script_5_Driving_stress.m MATLAB functions: Five Files that includes MATLAB functions that support the main script: 1_Ice_velocity_code: Include MATLAB functions that used for post-processing ice velocity maps. 2_Extract_data_from_2D_result: Include MATLAB functions that used for extract profiles from 2D data. 3_Figure_plotting_code:Include MATLAB functions related to Figures in the paper and support information. File 2: data_and_result_1 Description: Include directories that store the results output from MATLAB. user only neeed to modify the path in MATLAB script to their own path. This file also include ICESat-2 data and MODIS images. 1_v_post_processing: Ice velocity post-processing related files and directories, include four samples of inverse weighted average of three ice velocity maps and calculate the error maps 2_Block_result: times series results that extrac from 2D data. 3_MATLAB_output_png_result: Output Figures would be here 4_ICESat_2: ICESat_2 .h5 files and .mat files 5_MODIS_images: Store MODIS images for creating Movie_S6.avi File 3: data_and_result_2 Description: Include sea ice thickness 2D results, Sentienl-1/2 imagery, mooring data, grounding line results for plotting Figure S2, DEM, and shape files. 6_Sea_ice_thickness: Store 2D sea ice thickness results from January 2020 to December 2023 for creating Movie_S8.avi 7_S1_S2_images: Images used for plotting Figures. 8_Mooring_data: Ocean temperature time series at PIG-N and PIG-S from 2014 to 2024. 9_Ice_rumple_GL: Grounding lines near the ice rumple at the central ice shelf. Used for plotting Figure S3a. DEM: Rema DEM resample to 100m spatial resolution. shp: grounding line, rock region, ice front, and other shape files.
