Aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) has strong toxicity and intense ability of mutagenicity, which can cause great harm to animals and humans. A bacterial strain which can degrade AFB1 efficiently was screened out from the aflatoxin contaminated corn feed stacking place. Isolation and identification showed that the strain belonged to Bacillus licheniformis, named BL-010. Complete genome sequence of the strain BL-010 can further provide the genomic basis for the biotechnological application of strain BL-010 as an effective way to degrade AFB1.
