Mesenchymal environments are considered to maintain the quiescent state of SDL within the stem-cell niche. We used single cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) to analyze the subtypes and functions of the mesenchyme surrounding SDL. Overall design: Total 12 samples of SDL and surrounding mesenchyme from mandibular permanent canine of miniature pig embryos at E60 were microdissected and pooled, and then used for scRNAseq.
