Change in dietary balance awareness during COVID-19 in Japan 2021

According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in February 2021, around 30 percent of respondents claimed to pay more attention to their nutritional balance since the coronavirus pandemic. Following the outbreak of the global pandemic, foodservice businesses were requested to close down or shorten opening hours in Japan. Furthermore, consumers were requested to remain at home and avoid going out unnecessarily.
