资源简介:

The origin of Xray emission in Herbig Ae/Be stars, intermediatemass premainsequence stars, is still disputed, as these objects are not expected to be ableto drive a dynamo to sustain magnetic activity. Their progenitors, theintermediatemass T Tauri stars (IMTTS), cover the transition from a convectivecore to a fully radiative one, which is important for the presence of a magneticfield, and thus their Xray activity. At the same time IMTTS are still accretingfrom their protoplanetary discs, which also contributes to their Xray output. We have compiled a (to our knowledge complete) sample of 75 IMTTS, and aim tocompare their Xray properties in relation to their masses, ages and accretionrates. We apply for an XMM survey for 29 IMTTS to complete the sample coverage in Xrays. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
