Expanded BMI Network

The Expanded BMI Network represents all genes (N=6025) proximal in PCNet (PCNet v1.3) to human OR rat BMI GWAS hits via network colocalization (NetColoc). This is in contrast to the Conserved Rat-Human BMI Network, which represents genes proximal to both human AND rat BMI GWAS hits. Following network colocalization of the human and rat BMI GWAS hits, all genes with an NPS score in the 85th percentile in at least one of the two species were included in the expanded network. Therefore, this expanded network contains the Conserved Rat-Human BMI Network, the Rat-Specific BMI Network, and the Human-Specific BMI Networks.
Edges in the network are maintained from PCNet, and node color represents the subgraph membership: human-specific (blue), rat-specific (purple), conserved (orange), or other (grey).
