The mutagenized Sp1 and YY1 binding sequences are in bold letters and nucleotide changes respect to the wild-type sequence are underlined. Sp1 and YY1 consensus sequences are also indicated in the third column. The italicized lower case letters in the primers used for splice site mutagenesis indicate the upper and downstream exon flanking sequences.
