CTD data from RV Oceania cruise AREX2020 in the Nordic Seas, Fram Strait, and the Arctic Ocean, Institute of Oceanology PAS, Poland

CTD measurements were collected in July-August 2020 from RV Oceania during the open ocean part of the AREX2020 cruise in the Barents and Greenland Seas, Fram Strait, and the Arctic Ocean north of Svalbard. The cruise was a regular, annually repeated summer campaign under the IOPAN long-term multidisciplinary Arctic monitoring program AREX. Due to the COVID19 restrictions and limited cruise schedule, only the northern part of standard stations grid was occupied in 2020. Full-depth profiles of ocean temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, and chlorophyll fluorescence were measured on 172 stations distributed along 9 standard sections, covering the key areas of the Atlantic water inflow towards the Arctic Ocean. The main objective of the cruise was to document and understand the variability of water mass properties, ocean circulation and ocean-air-sea ice interactions along the pathways of Atlantic inflow in the broader context of climate change and environmental impacts.
