This wind turbine blade surface defect detection dataset is developed based on the 8K ultra-high-definition intelligent inspection system for wind turbine blades, and provides defect information on the surfaces of in-service wind turbine blades. The covered defect types include paint peeling, scratches, lightning strikes, cracks, breakage, erosion, damage, adhesive failure, and dirt contamination. Such information intuitively reflects the surface conditions of operating wind turbine blades, offering robust support for wind farm operation and maintenance personnel to timely identify and address issues related to wind turbine blades.
