Raw acoustic scattering data of organisms from the water column collected aboard R/V Point Sur (cruise PS19-04/DP06) from 2018-07-19 to 2018-07-26

This dataset contains raw echosounder data collected aboard the R/V Point Sur cruise PS19-04 (DEEPEND cruise designation DP06) from 2018-07-19 to 2018-07-26. The Simrad EK80 echosounder, a multi-frequency scientific instrument was operated at 18 kHz, 38 kHz, 70 kHz, and 120 kHz, following protocols developed during the NOAA NRDA DAP data collection operations. The lower two frequencies allow the examination of the mesopelagic scattering community, while the top 150 m scatters may be examined using all four frequencies.
