资源简介:
This data accompanies a paper to be published in Ecology and Evolution "Predator size-structure and species identity determine cascading effects in a coastal ecosystem" by John N Griffin (Swansea University, Wales, UK) and Brian R Silliman (Duke University).
Data were collected on 72 experimental field plots during and after a 4-month manipulation of predatory crabs in a salt marsh in Georgia USA in summer 2010.
The main factors manipulated were crab species identity and size structure. Additionally, the 'predator free' control allows the effects of predator presence/absence to be inferred.
The dataset is contained in 3 sheets, with an additional sheet containing metadata. The first sheet ("Treatments") contains the raw response variables and derived response variables for all treatment replicates. The second sheet ("Control") contains the raw response variables for the control (predator free) replicates. The third sheet contains data on the survival of predator crabs based on surveys conducted bi-weekly throughout the experiment.
