Connecting the Darumbal People to Shoalwater Bay

This project aims to connect the Darumbal people in the Shoalwater Bay Military Training Area. Through stakeholder facilitation, the Fitzroy Basin Association will work with the Darumbal people and the Department of Defence to establish a relationship that will continue beyond the life of the project. Activities will include caring for an area through learning and implementing traditional and contemporary natural resource management techniques. The project aims to develop communication products and information to be located and used within the training area for visitors to learn about cultural heritage values and how to protect them while using the area.
