Resequencing of Kingwa and Williams

This project focuses on the whole-genome resequencing of the parental lines of the soybean reference genome Williams 82, specifically 'Williams' (PI548631) and 'Kingwa' (PI548359). The goal is to achieve a higher resolution to determine the level of intracultivar heterogeneity among the six versions of the Williams 82 reference genome. By sequencing the parental lines, we aim to compare the SNP profiles of Williams and Kingwa with those of each of the six Williams 82 genome assemblies across all 20 chromosomes.
