According to a survey conducted in October 2019, more than 53 percent of parents in Japan wanted their children to have fun while learning, when it comes to programming lessons in elementary schools. Programming classes will become compulsory in Japanese elementary schools by 2020. More than one third of respondents wanted to learn together with their children.
