Beagle Marine Park Survey Phase 1 - Bathymetry

This dataset includes bathymetry, acoustic backscatter and sub-bottom profile data for Beagle Marine Park, collected as part of the National Environmental Science Program Marine Biodiversity Hub Project D3 - 'Implementing monitoring of Australian Marine Parks and the status of marine biodiversity assets on the continental shelf.’ The project is designed to collect data to build baseline information for benthic habitats in shelf waters that will support ongoing monitoring of the park by Parks Australia. Data acquisition for the project was divided into four phases, as follows: Phase 1: Acquisition of multibeam sonar and sub-bottom profiler data (June 2018)Phase 2: Deployment of an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (July-Aug 2018)Phase 3: Deployment of baited video systems (Aug-Sept 2018).Phase 4: Deployment of towed/remotely operated vehicle and sediment grab (Oct –Dec 2018)Data will be linked to this record once available following surveys.
