Study of soil microbial communities after the application of livestock waste-based products on soils under potato production system

The goal of the present work was to study the impacts of the application of digestate and two kinds of composted manures (wheat straw compost and woodchip compost (different bedding materials)) on agricultural soil microbial communities during the growth of potatoes. We conducted a pot experiment and monitored chemical and microbiological parameters using molecular approaches (16S rRNA amplicon analysis). In addition, we examined the extent of the survival of microbes from the livestock waste-based products in soils and the changes in microbial abundance in soil after the addition of the livestock waste-based products.
