Calculating the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) of thread rolling machines using the formula: Periodic Plan Achievement Ratio × Qualified Product Rate × Time Operating Rate, which enables accurate assessment of equipment operating efficiency for timely improvements. By adopting the OEE model, enterprises can easily identify bottlenecks restricting production efficiency, reduce equipment failure and maintenance costs, implement improvements and tracking, strengthen equipment management to extend service life, and ultimately achieve the goal of improving production efficiency. OEE can assist all manufacturing enterprises in analyzing production equipment, optimizing production conditions, improving product quality, and maximizing equipment utilization. 1. Data Collection: Data is collected from internal enterprise sources, and the collected thread rolling machine equipment data is processed through noise reduction, cleaning and data refinement. 2. Data Processing: The overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) is calculated as: OEE = Plan Achievement Ratio × Qualified Product Rate × Time Operating Rate. The specific sub-formulas are as follows: - Plan Achievement Ratio = Actual Output Quantity / Planned Output Quantity - Qualified Product Rate = Qualified Quantity / Actual Output Quantity - Time Operating Rate = Operating Time / Load Time Operating time refers to the actual time during which the equipment is put into production within a given period (shifts, i.e., day shift or night shift). Load time is the actual operating time of the equipment within a specific work cycle, which is fixed at 480 minutes in this dataset. 3. The higher the OEE value, the higher the equipment efficiency. An OEE of over 85% is generally considered an excellent level, indicating that the equipment has achieved extremely high efficiency during production. An OEE between 60% and 85% means that the equipment has room for improvement; measures such as optimizing equipment maintenance, improving production processes, and enhancing operator skills can further improve equipment efficiency. An OEE below 60% indicates low equipment efficiency, requiring significant improvements and optimizations.
