RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) was performed to obtain a global profile of gene expression related to osteogenic differentiation and find its predictive markers in hASCs. Based on Alizarin Red staining, ASCs from each donor were classified into two groups: a high osteogenic group and a low osteogenic group. Overall design: 12 ASC clones from 12 individual donors (6 with high osteogenic differentiation and 6 with low osteogenic differentiation) were used. The hASCs were established from lipoaspirates from 12 patients (mean age: 42 years, range: 21-58 years). A statement of consent was informed to all donors. All experiments were performed according to the relevant guidelines and regulations.
