Parque Metropolitano Crane - Precipitation

Precipitation, Interval total precipitation Parque Natural Metropolitano (PNM) crane station. Location: 8.994410 -79.543000 Established in 1995, the PNM canopy crane is located at the North Western edge of Panama City, at the eastern edge of the Parque Natural Metropolitano (Metropolitan Nature Park) and is surrounded by 80-year old, lowland semi-deciduous forest. The crane was 42 meters tall. The original monitoring station was located at approximately 25m. This level was about 1/3 the way from the canopy. In 2021, the original crane was dismantled and replaced with a new, 68m crane in January 2022. The original rain gauge was located 25m. In April of 2008 the gauge was moved to the top of the crane. In Feb. of 2022 a new gauge was installed on top of the new crane. Data from all three locations are treated as one data series.
