TNSmart Vulnerable Locations Due to Flooding

The TNSmart Multi-Hazard Alert Response and Tracking Platform from Tamil Nadu provides a dataset detailing Flood and Landslide related vulnerabilities. The dataset contains point level vulnerabilities categorized into Low, Medium, High and Very High values. The values are determined by a Nodal Officer and validated by the Deputy Inspector Survey of the specific Taluk. The dataset contains details on the following: Revenue Village/Ward, Firka/Township, Taluk, District, Vulnerable Category, Sources of Flood, Inundation Depth (in feet), Causes of flooding, Name of nearest relief center, Distance to Relief Center (in kms), Nodal Officer, NOF Contact Number, Team Leader, Team Leader Contact Number, Police Station, Police Station Contact Number, Fire and Rescue Center, Fire and Rescue Center Contact Number, Temporary Mitigation Measures, Permanent Mitigation Measures, Primary First Responder Name, Primary Responder Contact, Secondary Responder Name, Secondary Responder Contact. The dataset also has contains links to detailed PDF maps which contain even more detailed information on the column values collected above with additional information on Number of people evacuated to relief centers due to past flooding/landslides, Total number of relief camp in operations, Government Work taken up during recent years, Desilting activities undertaken within the area etc. All of the analysis thats available in the PDF maps are complemented by the contact of people that have carried this exercise
