Latin America: share of tourists planning to visit less crowded spots 2019

According to a survey carried out in 2019, over 60 percent of respondents in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico stated that, when choosing a travel destination, they would prefer to visit a less popular location in order to avoid crowds. Among the four countries surveyed, Colombians were the most keen to do so, with 69 percent of respondents. That year, travelers from that country also showed the highest tourism environmental awareness in Latin America.
