Data for publication: On the friction and lubrication of 3D printed Ti6Al4V hip joint replacement

This dataset contains the results of tribological tests performed to evaluate the friction and lubrication of conventionally and additively manufactured metal hip joint replacements. The dataset includes data from the damped oscillatory motion of the hip joint simulator from which the coefficient of friction was calculated. In additiona, the dataset includes evaluations of film thickness and fluorescence intensity measured between the metal femoral head and PMMA or glass acetabular cup.
