Consequences of benzalkonium chloride tolerance for selection dynamics and de novo resistance evolution driven by antibiotics

The study aims to investigate the concequences of benzalkonium chloride tolerance on the selection dynamics between benzalkonium chloride tolerant and sensitive bacteria under sub-inhibitory concetrations of antibiotics and on the de novo evolution of resistance to different antibiotics in E. coli.
