Light brown clay. Intact. Firing hole burnt black and bumped. Circular lamp with advanced raised nozzle and unperforated handle. In the recessed discus between two holes an erotic scene: symplegma on kline. The woman, lying on her back on a padded kline, is slightly turning her head and upper body to the front. The male lover is lifting her calves onto his shoulders and is kneeling performing the act of love. On the lamp shoulder vine decoration. Shallow stand ring, ribbed tang handle ending in anchor. Two pairs of grooves on the underside of the lamp. Stamp: imprint of a human foot sole (planta pedis). (Fless 1997: 121)
