Whole genome sequencing (WGS) was performed using both Nanopore PromethION48 and MGI DNBSEQ-T7 platforms. The de novo hybrid assembly of short- and long-read data was performed using Unicycler v.0.5.1.Here, we firstly describe a NDM-5-producing <i>K. grimontii </i>isolates from the anal swab sample of a chicken from anhui province, China, and characterized the corresponding <i>bla</i><sub>NDM-5</sub>-carrying IncHI2 plasmid.
