Lactuca population sequencing

Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) is one of the most important vegetable crops in the Compositae (also known as Asteraceae) family, and widely consumed as salad greens in many countries. As wild relative species have been extensively used in lettuce breeding as gene pool materials, here in this study we carried out a comprehensive population genomic study on lettuce and its wild relatives.
