Safest and Most Dangerous Big Cities in Europe: 69-city ranking from official data (Data Settles It, Episode 1)
收藏资源简介:
A safety ranking of 69 big European cities built only from official statistics, the full results behind Episode 1 of the YouTube channel Data Settles It. It covers every city with more than 250,000 residents in the European Commission's 2023 Quality of Life in European Cities survey, across 33 countries (Nicosia included via a CYSTAT 2021 urban figure of 255,350). Each city has a score out of 100: actual crime 50% (residents who had something stolen 25, assaulted or mugged 25), feeling safe 30% (walking alone at night 20, public transport 10) and national context 20% (homicide rate 10, people in cities reporting crime nearby 10). Each measure is scaled from the worst city (0) to the best (100); missing figures are left out and the other weights scaled up. Survey margin of error is about 2 to 4 points. Sexual violence by a non-partner (EU gender-based violence survey, women 18 to 74, national level) is shown separately and not scored. Sources: European Commission, Eurostat, FRA/EIGE, and national statistics offices and police services. Files: ranking CSV (69 rows, 23 columns), data dictionary and README with method, caveats and full source list. Compilation and scoring released under CC BY 4.0.
