Boron in seawater, ice, brine, lead, slush, snow, and under-ice water in the Fram Strait and Eastern Central Arctic May-June 2023

This is the raw data collected onboard the Icebreaker Oden (I/B Oden) from May 7- June 15, 2023 in the Fram Strait and Eastern Arctic. The objective of the study was to evaluate the carbonate system in sea ice with the onset of melt. This dataset includes specifically spectrophotometric pH at 25 degrees Celsius (°C) and in-situ temperatures, boron concentrations, the boron to salinity ratio (B/S), and the computed borate contributions to alkalinity (and the associated error). This dataset contains location, salinity, temperature, and water/ice/snow depth information across the sample types.
