Mapping multi-temporal population distribution in China from 1985 to 2010 using Landsat images via deep learning

This dataset includes four parts:<br><br>(1) The produced multi-temporal gridded population data (1km x 1km) of China from 1985-2010 with a five-year interval. The data is stored in the "population_density" folder. The values in the TIFF files represent the population density of cells. The cell area TIFF is provided to calculate the total population count.<br>(2) The samples for training, validating and testing the ResNet-N model. The data is stored in the "samples_for_resnet_n" folder.<br>(3) The town-scale validation data for 2010. The data is stored in the "town_level_validation" folder. <br>(4) The county-scale validation data from 1990-2010. The data is stored in the "county_level_validation" folder.
