Radiocarbon measurements of dissolved inorganic carbon, carbon dioxide, methane and dissolved organic carbon from lakes in the Yukon Flats National Wildlife Refuge (2021)

Radiocarbon and stable-isotope signatures of spatiotemporally integrated dissolved methane and carbon dioxide, dissolved inorganic carbon, and dissolved organic carbon were measured to characterize carbon dynamics on whole-lake scales. Water and dissolved gas samples were collected from surface waters of nine lakes in the Yukon Flats National Wildlife Refuge (NWR), Alaska. Study lakes were accessed via float plane between August 29 - September 2, 2021. These lakes were selected to capture the range of geologic settings, hydrology, and permafrost coverage of the Yukon Flats NWR (Garcia-Tigreros et al., in review).
