Supplementary Dataset on Emerging Trends and New Developments in Politeness Studies

This supplementary dataset supports the scientometric review titled Emerging Trends and New Developments in Politeness Studies (1995–2024). It includes raw and processed data derived from Scopus and Web of Science databases using the search query :politeness OR impoliteness OR "politeness strategy." The dataset comprises 8,574 unique records (after duplicate removal) in plain text format, suitable for use with scientometric tools such as CiteSpace.

The dataset contains bibliographic fields including title, authors, publication year, abstract, keywords, DOI, cited references, and institutional affiliations. Additional data files include co-citation matrices, keyword co-occurrence networks, institutional and country-level collaboration maps, citation burst analyses, and cluster labeling output. These components enable reproducibility and extended analysis by researchers aiming to examine the evolution, productivity, collaboration, and thematic developments in politeness research.
