Arsenic (As) enrichment has frequently been implicated in altering microbial community structure. Understanding of this implication in As-enriched groundwater, however, is limited by cloning/Sanger sequencing. To gain insights into the bacterial community structure and its dynamics lead to a better understanding of As cycling as well as the natural attenuation of As pollution in the As-contaminated environments .
