Where two or more stimuli appeared within an experiment, a common element x was simulated. Thus, α(CSs) describes the rate of conditioning parameter for the unique CS elements, α(x) the rate of conditioning parameter of the common x element, and α(A) and α(B) the rate of conditioning parameters used for the contexts.
