Length of persister, viable but non-culturable, susceptible lysed, susceptible not lysed, and untreated control E. coli

Length of viable but non-culturable (VBNC), persister , susceptible not lysed and susceptible lysed <i>E. coli</i> before (<i>t</i>=0), during (0&lt;<i>t</i>&lt;3 h), and after treatment (3&lt;<i>t</i>&lt;24 h) with ampicillin at a concentration of 25×Minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) in Lysogney Broth (LB). Length of untreated control cells were obtained in separate experiments where bacteria were provided with LB only, without ampicillin, from t=0 onwards.
