A new source of variables is the sweetpotato breeding program at NCSU. First the transfer of descriptor variables from the Sweetpotato Descriptor List (FAO, IBPGR, CIP) is completed. Secondly, the data is revised the ontology variables with sweetpotato breeders. Once at NCSU in February, 2016, and once in Nairobi in June, 2016. Review criteria were clarity, utility and uniqueness of variables. Thirdly, we adopted the improved spreadsheet format for registry working with Bioversity (Leo VAlette, Marie Angelique Laporte) and BTI. We also provided feedback on how to improve the spreadsheet format.
