Data for: Extinction darting predicts fear renewal in male but not female rats - behavioral and basolateral amygdala RNA-sequencing data
收藏资源简介:
Behavioral and transcriptomic data supporting the article "Extinction darting predicts fear renewal in male but not female rats: a behavioral dissociation with exploratory transcriptional correlates in the basolateral amygdala." Adult Sprague-Dawley rats (n = 18 per sex) underwent fear conditioning, three days of extinction in a large open-field arena permitting both passive (freezing) and active (darting) defensive responses, and a renewal test in a distinct context. Three hours after renewal, basolateral amygdala tissue from a subset of animals stratified within sex as high- or low-darters was processed for bulk RNA sequencing (12 libraries, 3 per subgroup). CONTENTS 01 - Gene-level expression matrix for all 12 libraries (19,007 genes; raw counts, FPKM, TPM, fold changes, raw and Benjamini-Hochberg adjusted p-values for both within-sex contrasts). 02 - Sample metadata (group, sex, darter status, contrast, total mapped reads). 03 - Male differentially expressed genes (MHD vs MLD; 98 candidates). 04 - Female differentially expressed genes (FHD vs FLD; 365 candidates). 05 - Per-animal behavioral data for the full cohort (36 animals): conditioning, early-extinction and renewal freezing, and extinction darting. README.txt - Column definitions and methods summary. The behavioral file reproduces every behavioral result reported in the article, including the male darting-renewal freezing association (r = -0.669, p = 0.002), the absence of a detectable association in females (r = 0.136, p = 0.591), and the darting x sex interaction on renewal freezing (p = 0.012). The transcriptomic analyses are exploratory: n = 3 per group with nominal, uncorrected thresholds, and no gene reaches an adjusted p < 0.05 in either sex. Raw sequence read files (FASTQ) are not available for this archival dataset; the gene-level count matrix is the earliest-stage sequencing data that remains.
