This data set contains open water data for the Gulf of Aqaba and the
northern Red Sea. Depth profiles of water column structure,
chlorophyll-a and phytoplankton distribution are sampled monthly.
Yearly cruises are made over the full length of the Gulf of Aqaba into
the northern Red Sea. These cruises visit 5-8 open water sampling
stations. In addition, Trichodesmium surface populations are monitored
weekly at the most northerly station. Most depth profiles are
complemented with inorganic nutrient measurements.
