Identification of the potential directed protein targets of biotin-salvianolic acid by pull-down coupled MS analysis

The aim of this study is to identify the potential directed protein targets of salvianolic acid, the natural phytochemical agent with cardiovascular/neural protective effect and antioxidant/anti-inflammatory/anticancer properties reported by former studies, on human primary stromal cells induced senescent in vitro by a genotoxic agent frequently used in clinical oncology. The approach used in the present study is pull-down of binding proteins of biotin labeled salvianolic acid A/B/E by streptavidin-agarose beads coupled MS analysis.
