Supplementary Table S1 — Timber species used in traditional boatbuilding in Babitonga Bay

Anatomically identified timber species (16 taxa, 7 botanical families) used in artisanal boatbuilding at traditional boatyards in Babitonga Bay, northern coast of Santa Catarina, southern Brazil. The table includes: IUCN conservation status, biome of occurrence, geographic distribution by Brazilian region, basic wood density (g/cm³), wood classification, boat type, boat component, and navigation area. Taxonomic identification confirmed by wood anatomy (Conceição, 2026, unpublished Master's thesis, UNIVILLE). This dataset is supplementary material for the manuscript 'Documentation of traditional ethnoknowledge and forest resource use in artisanal boat building in Babitonga Bay, Santa Catarina, Brazil', submitted to Human Ecology (under review).
