Gut and vaginal 16S microbiome of rhesus macaques following Zika virus infection. Macaca mulatta

Here we investigate the effects of ZIKV infection on microbial translocation, immune activation and inflammation in rhesus (RM) macaque models Zika virus. We performed 16s rRNA microbiome sequencing to identify microbial dysbiosis association with microbial translocation, inflammation, and underlying CNS immune activation in ZIKV infection.
