A total of 13 samples from three different sites along the Boise River and the Snake
River in southern Idaho were examined to recover organic fragments suitable for radiocarbon
analysis. These samples were recovered from late Holocene terraces adjacent to the Boise
River northeast of Boise, and along the Snake River near Twin Falls and American Falls.
Botanic components and detrital charcoal were identified, and potentially radiocarbon datable
material was separated. Two AMS radiocarbon ages were obtained.
